Our Refund Policy
Fresh and Fermented makes fresh, perishable fermented batter in small batches each week. Because our products are made to order and cannot be resold once prepared, our ability to offer refunds is limited — similar to most perishable food businesses.
We take the quality of our products seriously. If something goes wrong — a food safety concern, a missed delivery, or an error on our end — we will always work to make it right. Please read the sections below for specific situations.
Cancellation Window
You may cancel your order and receive a full refund if you contact us within 24 hours of placing your order, and before our preparation cutoff.
Once preparation begins (typically midweek), we can no longer cancel or refund orders. At that point, ingredients have been sourced, soaked, and the fermentation process has started specifically for your batch.
To cancel within the window, email us at hello@freshandfermented.com with your order number. We will confirm the cancellation and process your refund.
Refunds are processed through Stripe and typically appear in your account within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
Food Safety Issues
If you experience a genuine food safety concern — the product appears spoiled, smells off, or causes illness — please contact us within 24 hours of pickup or delivery. We take food safety extremely seriously.
We will issue a full refund or replacement for any confirmed food safety issue. Please include your order number and a brief description of the concern.

Delivery Issues
If you selected local delivery and your order was not delivered during the scheduled window, please contact us. We will issue a full refund for any order that was not delivered through our error.
Please note that delivery refunds do not apply if an incorrect delivery address was provided at checkout or if you were unavailable at the delivery location.
How Refunds Are Processed
All refunds are processed through Stripe, our payment processor. The refund will be returned to the original payment method used at checkout.
Please allow 5–10 business days for refunds to appear in your account after we have confirmed and initiated the refund. Processing times can vary by bank or card issuer.
