What We Collect

When you create an account or place an order with Fresh and Fermented, we collect the information necessary to fulfill your order and communicate with you:

• Name and email address — used to create and manage your account and send order confirmations.
• Delivery address — collected only if you select local delivery at checkout. Not stored if you choose pickup.
• Payment information — processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card number, CVV, or full payment details on our servers.
• Email for newsletter — only if you opt in via the newsletter signup in our footer. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• Anonymous usage data — in the future, we may use analytics tools to understand how customers use the site (e.g., which pages are visited). This data is anonymized and not linked to your identity.

We do not collect any information beyond what is needed to process and fulfill your order.

How We Use Your Information

The information we collect is used exclusively to operate our small business:

• To create and manage your account on our website.
• To process your order and send you a confirmation email with pickup or delivery details.
• To contact you if there is an issue with your order (e.g., a product is unavailable).
• To send our weekly newsletter, if you have opted in.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-Party Services

We use a small number of trusted services to run our website. Each has its own privacy policy:

• Supabase — our backend database and authentication provider. Your account credentials and order history are stored securely on Supabase servers. See supabase.com/privacy.
• Stripe — our payment processor. Stripe handles all card transactions and stores your payment data under their PCI-compliant systems. We never see or store your full card details. See stripe.com/privacy.
• Resend — our email delivery service. Your email address is transmitted to Resend to deliver order confirmations and newsletter emails. See resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.
• PostHog — we may use PostHog in the future for anonymous website analytics. If enabled, PostHog collects anonymized pageview data only. No personal identifiers are linked to this data. See posthog.com/privacy.

Data Retention

We retain your account and order data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. Order history is kept for accounting and legal compliance purposes.

If you would like your account and personal data deleted, please contact us at hello@freshandfermented.com. We will process your request within 30 days.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Request that we correct inaccurate information.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the link in any email we send.
